Adam Sawicki is a Senior Member of Technical Staff / Developer Technology Engineer in the Radeon Technologies Group at AMD where he focuses on helping game developers utilize AMD GPUs efficiently. Previously, he worked on games and game engines, digital satellite television, graphics driver, shader compiler and other aspects of computer graphics. He holds a master degree in computer science.
Game development is a complex process subject to many constraints: financial, time, and technical. Short iterations times, good tools, and the ease of finding bugs and opportunities for performance improvement are crucial for the quality of the final product. This talk focuses mainly of graphical aspect of games, showing the ways to make your game easier to debug and optimize – from high-level approach to creating game builds, features to include in the game or game engine, to low-level technical recommendations related to various graphics APIs.
