Porting your engine to Vulkan or DX12
Adam Sawicki is a Senior Member of Technical Staff / Developer Technology Engineer in the Radeon Technologies Group at AMD where he focuses on helping game developers utilize AMD GPUs efficiently. Previously, he worked on games and game engines, digital satellite television, graphics driver, shader compiler and other aspects of computer graphics. He holds a master degree in computer science.
In this talk, Adam will give overview of what does it take to port a game engine to an explicit API (Vulkan or Direct3D 12): challenges you have to overcome, recommendations for doing it efficiently and, most importantly, advantages it can give to your game.
