Comedy never writes itself. Despite common belief, a good sense of humour is not enough to write good comedy. To add salt to injury, video games has tendency to omit the full volumes of comedic possibilities within that medium. This speech attempts to distill the most important practical advice when writing and designing comedy in video games.
