Switching from an ads-based revenue stream to IAP-based monetization: Gram Games experience
Eren is the Chief Product Officer at Gram Games, managing all product-related matters in London and Istanbul offices of Gram Games from game conception, development to launch, live ops and monetization. Eren is also overseeing Gram’s ad business, and more recently led the shift of focus to IAP. Prior to joining Gram, Eren was a management consultant with McKinsey, having run projects and transformation programs in the US, Middle East and Europe for large tech companies, banks and governments.
Gram Games was set up 7 years ago in Istanbul, and has been mainly run by ad monetization for the first 5 years of through a number of successful hypercasual games. Following the opening of the London office, Gram Games was able to switch to a primarily IAP-driven monetization stream, and has been able to place the flagship game, Merge Dragons! in the Top Charts on multiple platforms. The talk will be about the journey of Gram Games, and how the studio managed to reorganize their structure to refresh their gaming monetization model.
