Having worked on both AAA games and Oscar-winning films, he is now dedicated mostly to virtual production, as the architect and development lead for Genesis, Technicolor’s virtual production platform.
Virtual production is the process of producing a film with computer generated imagery using traditional filmmaking methodologies. We will talk about Genesis, Technicolor’s proprietary virtual production platform, and the role of real-time rendering technology as it applies to modern film production.
The key aspects of the Genesis platform are multi-user interaction, the use of virtual reality for scouting locations and environments, and the diverse set of tools, such as motion capture, encoded hardware, and inside-out tracking, for producing animations live on set and recording imagery through virtual cameras.
