Art in games - panel discussion
I’m Acting Lead Environment Artist at CD PROJEKT RED. Currently, my work is focused on Cyberpunk 2077, a project that has become my passion. As a huge fan of the genre, I couldn’t ask for a more compelling challenge. Earlier, I worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the final expansion, Blood and Wine. I also collaborated with The Farm 51 on such titles as Painkiller HD, Deadfall Adventures and Get Even. I’ve been a passionate gamer since I was a child. Now, I’ve been living the dream in the game development industry for almost 7 years, mostly working on AAA titles.
This panel will discuss the various challenges inherent in creating art for games. We’ll talk about how we built a variety of game worlds from the ground up, starting from our original inspiration, to translating that inspiration into a workable vision, and then finally making the vision a reality.
