Seaport - Onboarding UX design tips for mobile
Hi there! I’m Martin, a UX Game Designer.
Over the last 6 years at Pixel Federation I have had a chance to work on many different aspects of game design. Thanks to these opportunities I managed to find my passion – UX design.
Player’s experience is my priority when designing new games, interfaces or features. Most valuable experience was being a Lead Game Designer on Seaport where I worked from “day 0” (2015) till global launch in 2018.
I’m grateful for all gained experience, and I try to share it with others via various talks, workshops or mentoring.
From time to time I get to speak at the events like PocketGamer, TedX, UX Camp Europe or GDS to name a few.
Designing a tutorial is a never-ending process of trials, errors and iterations. During this repetitive process, there is a big risk of getting stuck at one point.
This talk is a case study summing up 5 months of activities focused on UX, UI and analytics.
All-in-all these activities helped to design intuitive onboarding with 40% D1 retention during soft launch phase.
