With a background in communication science, Mehdi started his career as a sound engineer after which he quickly switched into academic research in all things entertainment until switching into more commercial roles. Over the years, Mehdi has worn many hats allowing him to combine his passion for digital technology and business development whilst analyzing trends and maintaining a high level of dialogue with key players in the music, film, games and tech industries. Today Mehdi is responsible for business development at Remote Control Productions, Europe’s biggest Game Developer family of studios headquartered in Munich Germany.
With the announcement of Google Stadia, Apple Arcade, Tencent’s streaming service and so on, many developers and publishers alike see these new platforms as possible opportunities whilst others as possible dead-ends. The purpose of this keynote is to explore why developers and publishers alike should take Games As A Service, Games on Demand and streaming platforms seriously by correlating the current landscape to a comparative analysis of the evolution of the music and TV/Film industries.
