How to use words
Worked as an electronic engineer for twelve years. After hours organized conventions and electronic music festivals, as well as translated lectures, short stories, documents, web pages and software. Written the intro to Madness of Little Emma (roguelike platformer that came out on Steam in 2015) and joined Techland less than half a year later. Works as a Language Consultant in the Design and Story Team.
Even if your game doesn’t have any words in it, you probably used some while making it. I’m going to talk about how words influence the creative environment and when to stop fussing if something isn’t top notch, or quite the opposite, from the perspective of Techland’s Language Consultant.
