Paulina Vera Szmidt
Robot Gentleman/Rudy Dziobak

Indie! You can have your own QA!

She started testing games professionally in 2007. She never considered this job a first step to entering game development, as she just felt in love with it. Ten years later she is a QA at Robot Gentleman and started her own company, Rudy Dziobak, which provides professional QA for indie devs.

Speech abstract:

A lot of indie studios tend to forget about the importance of good quality assurance in the process of development. When it comes to low budget productions indies often omit this part or try to use coders to test their own game. During the talk I will explain why QA is crucial even in small projects and show some examples of how to deal with it without having to greatly increase the cost of development.
