God's Trigger: A Game Design Postmortem
Game designer, producer and a passionate gamer. Jagiellonian University graduate with a masters degree at computer science. He made his first steps in game development in 2011 during internships at Cracow-based Reality Pump studio, from which he later moved to another well known company from Cracow – Bloober Team. In 2014 he co-founded One More Level, where he has been leading a top-down shooter project released in April this year – God’s Trigger.
Each project has its own distinct history that is worth sharing with others. Ups and downs are an integral part of creating games and it was no different during the production of God’s Trigger.
The road from the conception of an idea to game’s release was a long and bumpy one. I’d like to map out the key junctions of the God’s Trigger development, share insights concerning the turns we took during its making and where they led us. You will be able to see how the game changed over time and what reasons behind some these changes were. All this will be summarized with final conclusions.
