Roland Reyer has started in 1992 as an Application Engineer at Wavefront Technologies GmbH in Germany. He became an industry expert for the entire product portfolio of Wavefront Technologies, later Alias | Wavefront, Alias and finally Autodesk M&E. In his role as an application specialist he tested, showcased and trained Maya from its very first version. With over 25 years product and market experience, Roland works at Autodesk as a Technical Specialist for Maya, Mudbox, Motionbuilder and Shotgun throughout EMEA.
In this session you’ll learn how to utilize tools and functionalities for procedural and non-destructive modeling, environment development and prototyping. Secondly we’ll be focusing on streamlined Character animation processes, enabling efficient work on Mocap- and hand-animated data. The class showcases models provided by CD Projekt’s The Witcher 3 (ingame and cinematic) as well as Warhorse Studio’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Utilizing Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya, you’ll get an update on latest 3d workflows to unleash full creativity and enable lossless art-direction.
A brief glance behind the scene of the Autodesk product development will complement the session with amazing upcoming tools for UVs, Proceduralism, Texture Baking and Rendering as well as Retopo.
