Teut Weidemann is a F2P game & monetization expert and works for international clients worldwide on their F2P games. With over 25 years of industry experience he is one of the elder game producers in Germany. During the “home computer” time he worked as development director at Rainbow Arts and shipped over 50 products, among them classics like Turrican, MUDS, X-Out, Apprentice or Katakis.
After a short break at Apple Computers and Microsoft Games he produced Advertainment titles for Kelloggs, Kraft Jacobs Suchard and the German government.
In 1996 he founded his own development studio “Wings Simulations” which shipped the highly awarded Panzer Elite, one of the top 50 best games of all time according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
He sold his studio to the public listed company Jowood AG in 2000. Until 2005 he shipped the online team based shooter “Söldner – Secret Wars” that featured for the first time a fully destructible environment in an online game.
After 2005 he was called into the board of CDV AG as CEO, one of the eldest publishers in Germany. During his time as CEO he was responsible for development, IT and marketing.
End of 2007 he become an independent consultant for online games & monetization and consulted various clients how to enter or optimize their online games efforts in development, life operations or raising KPI’s on free to play games on mobile, console and PC.
Teut is known due to his polarizing talks on various conferences in Europe and USA.
