Jamie is a Senior Designer, Head of Technical Design at Creative Assembly, working on the multi-award-winning Total War series. Having started in the industry in 2015 as a Trainee UI Programmer, he has since moved to design working on Total War: ARENA and providing technical design support across the Total War teams.

After reworking the primary game mode in the multiplayer game Total War: Arena from the ground up, we discuss the components that make engaging multiplayer experiences, drawing learnings from existing games, creating an initial redesign, prototyping ideas, playtesting, and getting the most out of limited feedback.
