From the towers of downtown Night City to the shacks of the Badlands. Generation of simplified representations of the city, characters, and vehicles inCyberpunk 2077.
This talk will explain the challenges posed by the scale and structure of Night City, and present the various solutions we used to overcome them. Specifically, it will cover the tools and algorithms we used to simplify the city, characters, vehicles and crowds when visible from great distances. In addition, the detailed pipelines implemented for each of these tasks will be presented, alongside an explanation of the role played by Sidefx Houdini during this process.
