Art and Visual Perception - what can we learn from art classiscs
Environment City team coordinator at CD Projekt RED, where she has been working since 2018. A graduate of the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts and the Comprehensive School of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Present in the gaming industry for a decade, starting with VR and AR projects and most recently with Cyberpunk 2077. She is currently working on the Cyberpunk – Phantom Liberty. Privately, a bookworm and cinema enthusiast. She is particularly interested in traditional art as well as art history and theory.
Talk is about scientific aspects of human vision and how it affects the way we perceive arts. How we can handle some vision traps in art creation and how to balance the visual tension to evoke certain emotions when working with commercial arts. Many examples of artistic decisions made by art classiscs not to tell the audience things but rather make them feel things. Please note that this is purely art topic and can be applied to many creative industries, not only games.
